Birthday Guest Book, Banner Style

Birthday parties are one of the greatest opportunities to bring friends and family together. Other than pictures of the party, how can you capture memories? Think about how a custom birthday banner could be created online and used at your next party. If I did one, not only would I upload a photo of the person, but leave room on the party banner to have guests sign their names and more importantly, a favorite memory they have of the birthday guy/gal.   Or for the children in the group, they could also draw a picture to capture the moment.

Wet Soggy Posters No More

Ever find yourself in the middle of packed bleachers, cheering your team to victory and the weather on the horizon looks a bit rainy? Sitting below your feet you've got a tag board poster that accompanies your team name and favorite player's number written in permanent marker. Sprinkles start falling and the heavy rain follows. By this time the hand-written message on your poster becomes a blur and the tag board becomes a soppy mess. Soon the poster is under your feet and will remain there until the completion of the game.

Sound familiar? Why, yes, it does. A friend of mine had this problem every single time she went to a game. Soon she realized her efforts and time creating a poster were better spent elsewhere and decided to order a custom, vinyl sports banner. She was able to customize it with her favorite sports saying, incorporate her school colors and mascot and roll it up and re-use it from time to time… and it never got wrecked.

Nothing Says S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E like Photos on a Birthday Banner

Photos are fun and timeless! I love to get more use out of photos that are sitting around in my old photo albums. For that upcoming surprise birthday party, pull out the albums (on your computer, or scan in those printed album photos) and pick out the ones you want to use on a hanging vinyl birthday banner. Go online and upload your favorite captured memories to create a personalized banner design that will look like it was done by a professional. Don't be shy - pull out those real old ones too, black and white is the new look! Watch the surprised faces when the guests may even see their own photo on the birthday banner.

Creative Idea for Recycling Vinyl Banners

I have used custom vinyl banners in the past during group photo shoots at leadership events. Once the banner is used at different times during each of these events and then brought home, I often think to myself, "How can I use this banner rather than pitching it in the garbage?"

Now that I've taken up a hobby of sewing I should try creating a bag out of a vinyl banner. Since vinyl is a durable and waterproof material, I just might have to put my creative talent to work and see what I can come up with!

Creative Wrapping Paper

I was talking to my friend the other day and one of her co-workers was celebrating 30th birthday. My friend was trying to think of a creative way to wrap her birthday gift which was a bottle of wine and a Happy Birthday vinyl banner. She laid the bottle of wine on the flat vinyl banner and rolled it to form a tube (similar to a Tootsie Roll®). She used the ropes, which come with a new vinyl banner, to tie off both ends. What a great multi-purpose idea to wrap the birthday gift! The vinyl banner was hung on the cubicle wall and I'm sure her co-worker received many "Happy Birthdays" on her special day!

Best 1st Birthday, Hands Down

Like no other, that 1st birthday party is one to be remembered.  If party planning is not your forte, what do you do? Many go with the standard out-of-the box decorations and such. Why not add your own touch (or your baby's touch) by creating a personalized hanging banner for your guests to see as they enter the party?!  Put a little paint on your baby's hands and create a handprint on some basic white paper. Take a picture, and there you have it - an image to design the best custom birthday banner, hands down!

There is No “I” in Team

Summer and kids' activities seem to go hand in hand - it may be that your child is in a club, going to camp, or on the local sports team.  No matter what the activity, it typically requires interaction with other kids, meeting new friends, or learning how to do a new activity. If you are parent, you want to do all you can to help them succeed, or be accepted.  What do you do? One thing could be to show them how much you value the way they "play" as a team, while having fun. Whether it's a club or sports team, take their group/team photo and create a custom hanging banner that can be hung proudly at their end of season get together or event.  You will be the coolest parent if you brought a personalized hanging banner to your group picnic or event.  Better yet, have the kids present the banner as a Thank You gift to the coach or group leader after the event - it will create lasting memories for all.  Have all the kids sign the banner by their own photo.
